In this two hour workshop, we will move through the koshas, the five sheaths or layers of the body. And as we go more deeply inward, we will allow our consciousness to expand. The practice will begin with a short energizing brahmana flow to activate the annamayakosha (physical body). This will be followed by several rounds of pranayama to tap into the pranamayakosha (energy body). As we move into the manomayakosha (psycho-emotional body), we will invite in mantra recitation to soothe the thoughts and emotions. We will then transition into an intuitive langhana sequence of long, passive yin yoga postures to delve into the vijnanamayakosha (wisdom body). The practice will end with an experience of yoga nidra (yogic sleep) to rest in the anandamayakosha (bliss body).
Open to all levels of practitioners.
No yoga experience necessary.
